CURRENT VACANCIES 

1. Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons in English for children aged 4-13 from Young Engineers’ established curriculum
  • Coordinate Teaching Assistants to organise classes efficiently
  • Ensure good classroom management. Manage student behaviours, monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout the course
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of Young Engineers’ programs, teaching materials and related services
  • Collaborate with the Teaching team to improve on the overall teaching quality and team dynamics

Experience, Skills and Qualifications 

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree. A degree or qualification in Education/Teaching would be asset.
  • Fluent English
  • At least six months of experience in teaching or working with children
  • Desirable: previous experience teaching STEM
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Good Organisation skills with keen attention to detail
  • Honest, proactive and willing to learn
  • Great teamwork skills and able to work independently

2. Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons in English for children aged 4-13 from Young Engineers’ established curricula
  • Manage teaching tools and equipment
  • Manage student behaviours
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to improve the STEM lessons and the overall course
  • Be able to work at least three afternoons per week, including on Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday

Experience, Skills and Qualifications 

  • University students, preferably in Year 2 or Year 3
  • Proficient English, with a focus on speaking and listening skills
  • Experience in teaching or working with children is an asset
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Good organisation skills with keen attention to detail
  • Honest, proactive and willing to learn
  • Great teamwork skills and able to work independently
